Char was born Charlotte Blankenship in a small Colorado town. In 1968, after studying Art History at university and two years designing clothes for a boutique in California, Char moved to Guadalajara with her husband Aurelio Vazquez. Starting with hand-painted handbags, she moved onto 'hippie-chic' fashion, eventually opening six stores in Mexico and a collection that debuted at the New York Boutique show in the early 70s. She then relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she launched 'Char and Sher Designs' with her sister, featuring Southwest leather and suede clothing. Skirt- good condition, printed painted areas are good slight scuffing to leather commensurate with light use.
Breastplate/necklace - pink thong edgings are slightly faded when compared from front to back. one of the thongs has a stitched repair - see pics.
