Peggy was photographed wearing this for a magazine article in 1965. She is described thus
‘This fall. Peggy looks like a slightly scruffy urchin. Because her Vidal Sassoon haircut covers her upper eyelashes, she adds false lashes underneath her eyes to pinpoint where they are. And the little girl look has switched to the little-boy-type, with stripes running rampant from top to toe (Heaven forbid that legs differ from the top!).Rudi’s double-knit wools for Harmon Knitwear (40-65$) are matched with leggings (15-17$) color-blended with shiny patent shoes by Capezio. As Peggy’s painting and the dresses show, there is no end to what can be done with stripes. They vary from baseball-uniform profusion (above) to solitary simplicity. LOOK comments: It takes svelte savoir-faire to come across scruffy.’
In 1965 she worked in London on the Antonio film 'Blow Up' which featured a David Bailey type character played by David Hemmings. She was photographed on set with another model wearing this smock dress.
