Literature: 'The Rudi Gernreich Book' Peggy Moffitt & William Claxton photograph by William Claxton pp 68,69,70. It was a 'Kabuki' style topless bikini (worn without the bra section) that was Gernreich's first topless swimsuit, but it was the Monokini designed slightly later that eclipsed it.
